Textile is giving away three student passes to this year’s Decentralized Web Summit in San Fransisco.
Applications are due Wednesday, July 25th, 2018
We are extremely excited to be participating in Decentralized Web Summit (more about that early next week!) this year, and we’re hoping to share that excitement with the next generation of decentralized builders. As part of our Textile Build workshop series coming up at the end of the month (the first session coincides with the summit), we thought it would be a good idea to sponsor a few student tickets to the Decentralized Web Summit. So with that in mind… we have three student tickets 🎟 that we’d like to give away to some awesome students 👩🎓 👨🎓 interested in interacting with the core architects 👩💻 👨💻 of the new decentralized web.
Who can Apply?
Pretty much any full-time college/university student with a valid student ID. To further our goal of building a diverse community of decentralized builders, we strongly encourage applications from women and/or underrepresented community members, and these applications will be given priority. Students with greater financial need will also be given preference.
How to Apply?
Applicants should send an email to [email protected] with the following information:
- One paragraph describing why you want to attend the summit (mention how will you contribute to the event/conversation around the decentralized web).
- One to two sentenses describing why you need the sponsorship.
- Proof of student status (i.e., scan of your student ID).
When to Apply?
Right away! Applications are due Wednesday, July 25th, 2018. Only selected applicants will be notified on Thursday, July 26th, 2018.
We are only providing tickets to the event, no travel or accommodation. So please plan accordingly. You will also need to provide proof of student status at the event. Finally, you’ll have to take part in our demo at the event, and maybe hang out with some of our team while you’re there 😜.
At Textile, we care a lot about building a strong and diverse community of users and makers excited about the decentralized web. If you’d like to join us in San Francisco to learn more about the future of the web, drop us a line, apply for a ticket, and hopefully we’ll see you at the summit! In the mean time, don’t forget to sign up for our Textile Photos waitlist — we’ll be running a fun demo of it at the event, so don’t forget to take part 🚀.
